Unfortunately until that time comes, veterinarians need to rely on a thorough nose-to-tail physical exam as well as medical diagnostics.
See Beneath The Surface Diagnostics can provide us with valuable information about your pet. Doing a blood test even if your pet seems quite healthy on the outside, a blood test will help to determine a baseline for future blood results. This will help in the future so we can monitor the health of your pet and make sure to provide preventative care to reduce the risk of disease.  In many cases it can also identify early signs of disease which can then be better managed, leading to your pet’s long and comfortable life.

In-House Diagnostics

MountainView also has the ability to provide In-House blood testing for pet’s with conditions which require a more immediate diagnosis.

Cytology

Cytology is the study of cells to identify disease.  These cells may be obtained from a number of locations including some skin masses, samples from the ear canal and blood samples to name a few.

Radiology

Diagnostic X-ray allows us to visualize bones, organs and some ligaments within the body helping us to create a treatment plan which is best for your pet.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound, also sometimes called a sonogram, enables our team to see inside your pet’s organs. It helps us to measure stages of disease such as heart disease or lymph node involvement with some cancers.
